This was our first time in a camper van so we wondered how we would get on doing quite a big trip on our first outing, we had no problems at all everything you need is in the camper cooker, fridge and table and chairs with plenty of room for the two of us and the dog. This is our second time hiring from Tim & Jenny. Last year we hired the Mazda Bongo to attend a festival and it had everything we needed to feel comfortable during the weekend. This year we hired the red T4 and travelled up to Scotland with our dog for a long weekend away. Both times were absolutely incredible! Tim was very thorough explaining all details of both vans and everything was provided (plates, cutlery, pans, chairs etc). Very comfortable for long journeys and a good nights sleep. It was our first time in a campervan and this experience was absolutely one that sold us on the way to travel. Once we had made contact, communication was excellent with clear and regular emails from Jenny to guide us through the admin. Tim picked us up from Carlisle train station and was so informative and kind. It took very little time to get a thorough and professional introduction to the van (the videos online are also super helpful and clear); ours was the red T4. The service felt really personal and supportive. Once we were on the road, I found the van handled very well and was comfortable to drive. We went up into the Highlands in Scotland and I really appreciated the advantage of not having a big bulky motorhome on the small windy roads! We quickly got used to the evening and morning routines for setting up camp and the way the van was fitted out was very compact and well thought out - everything you could want for cooking, eating and cleaning. We had one or two moments along the way where we were not sure about something and Tim was very responsive and helpful (even when the message was outside normal working hours). We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 days in the camper and would highly recommend this family-run business with a personal touch. Communication was fantastic from start to finish and the pricing structure made it easy to work out the cost of your planned trip. Once we were on the road - after a full run through of the van including it's many storage areas, we had a fantastic trip - one night in Keswick, 1 in Loch Lomond and 2 in Blair Atholl. The van was super comfy, both when driving and sleeping - altho I would recommend a 3/4 self inflating camping air mattress. The van drove really well and on the hottest weekend of the year so far, the air con when driving was very much appreciated. Return of the vehicle and hand over was also super smooth. The owners Tim and Jenny are amazing. Jenny went through everything with us. We hired the T5 blue one and it has everything you need from plates etc to outdoor furniture. Made the festival an even better experience. Tim and Jenny were great to deal with. The van had everything we needed and the fridge lasted the whole duration, without the use of a hook up, through the solar panel 😊 so cold beers and cooked breakfast every day!
