Excellent experience with Carlisle campers. We had a great holiday with this camper. One piece of advice is to bring a memory foam topper for added comfort

Great communication and friendly service

T4 + myself and my bike made the round trip north and through the outer Hebrides- bottom to the very top. The van performed superbly over the 1400 miles, self reliant and wild camping in the most beautiful of surroundings. Often parking up in darkness and waking to spectacular surroundings and views, crashing waves and wildlife - Deer, Seals and even Dolphins. I tried to mix up my dining with a combination of buying from local restaurants/ pubs / cafes and being self sufficient. Important to support the locals…Haggis variations my specialty 😂 with Porridge each morning. The van has everything required to prepare comfortably food and a beer…or a wine 😂 Having my bike on the carrier very useful and the islands perfect for cycling too. The Hebrides are stunningly beautiful, dramatic and breathtaking, I will be back to do the same again. November perfect to avoid everyone else, i haven’t a photograph with another tourist included, bare this in mind. Carlisle Campers offer a great service, just like it says on the tin approach. Go for it….

Took back Mazda Bongo today ( relucktantly ). It was a great home for a long weekend. I enjoyed travelling around lovely Dumfries and Galloway staying at Anwath site in Gatehouse of Fleet and Brandleleys site at Crocketford. Both were quiet sites with no pubs and discos with adequate toilets showers and dishwashing sinks. It was lovely to wake up at Crocketford in the sun today and watch all the rabbits running and jumping on the park. ‘ Bongo ‘ had everything I needed, as a previous review stated you only need to take yourself and your food everything else is in the van. The gas hobs work well both to make meals and to boil the cute little camping kettle. The fridge works all the time regardless of if you are plugged into the mains due to an effecient leisure battery. On top of this if you place the mattress toppers in between the lowered seats and your sleeping bag you end up with a comfortable bed. I wanted to get up at 8 a.m. on Sunday and Monday and did not wake until the alarm went off. A great machine to travel around in making a relaxing. (;and affordable ) break. Jennifer clearly enjoys showing people how to operate her beloved Bongo and Tim should receive nominations after his performance in ‘. Bongo — The Movie ‘ on you tube. They are very friendly and clearly enjoy it when you enjoy your hol’s. All in all a great time will certainly be including Bongo when the time comes to arrange next years holidays. I had the absolute delight of being able to hire the VW camper van for a 2 week trip around Scotland. I’ve never done anything like this before and it would just be me and the dog on our own. Jenny was so helpful when I booked the van and was really invested in what plans I had for my trip. When I picked up the van, Jenny was really helpful and spent time showing you how to use the van. Well the next 2 weeks we’re incredible!!! I loved my adventure so much and Betty the camper van really looked after me, particularly on the interesting Scottish roads. She was equipped with everything I needed, all I had to bring was my sleeping bag. Pitching up was really easy and I loved spending most of the nights wild camping off grid. Jenny made sure to message me to see how I was getting on and I know she was always there incase I needed a question answered. I will certainly be booking for next year and I am already excited to organise my next trip. Thank you so much to Tim and Jenny for letting me have use of their van, I hooked on the camper van life now!! Elaine x

We hired the Mazda Bongo for a weekend and were very happy with the camper and the service. We would definitely hire a camper from Jenny and Tim again!

Hubby and I have been wanting to go away in a VW Campervan for years, but never found the time. Finally we did it . We weren’t sure how the two dogs would take to it, but we needn’t of worried. The van was fab- not the newest of vans but that just added to its charm and it was very reliable. It was really well equipped with everything you could need. Just add food, bedding and you’re off. We stopped at Pooley Bridge and did a couple of long walks. It was very easy to put roof up and down. To sum up, the owner Jenny was a delight to deal with and we had a most enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend.

Hired the Mazda Bongo from Jenny and Tim for a week in Scotland. The van was very easy to drive and great for moving around visiting a range of places. It was well equipped with all the essentials - pans, utensils, chairs, a table, mattress toppers etc. We had no issue with storage for a week (and could have easily managed longer than a week!) Would definitely recommend, and if we go again we'll be trying out the VW!
